We need to update our SMTP connection for Jotform. We need to move away from the user id and password and go to the relay server.

    What are the steps.

    Hi Jennaha,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Let me help you with that:

To update your SMTP connection to use a relay server instead of user ID and password, follow these steps:

    1. Log in to your Jotform Enterprise account.
    2. Click your Profile Picture on the top-right and select Admin Console.
    3. Go to Settings on the left side.
    4. Under the Sender Email (SMTP) Configuration section, click Add Sender Email.
    5. Select Custom SMTP and click Continue.
    6. Enter the SMTP details provided by your relay server (username, password, host name, email address, security protocol, and port).
    7. Click Send Test Email to verify the connection.
    8. Save the settings if the test is successful.

After this, you can select the new custom sender email in your form's email settings.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

We don't want to use username/password. Is there another option.

    Hi Jennaha,

To use a relay server without username and password, you can configure your SMTP settings to allow IP-based authentication or anonymous relay if your server supports it. This setup depends on your relay server's configuration, so please check with your email service provider for the exact details and required settings.

What are the Jotform IP addresses?

    Hi Jennaha,

Here are the Jotform IP addresses you can whitelist for SMTP relay:

    • 152.160.0.0/16
    • 23.251.253.0/26
    • 38.153.9.0/24
    • 38.152.248.0/24
    • 212.47.85.0/24

Make sure to add these to your email server's whitelist to allow Jotform emails through your relay.

    Hi Jennaha,

To set up Office365 SMTP relay without username and password, you can add Microsoft SMTP as a custom sender email in your Jotform Enterprise Admin Console:

    1. Go to Admin Console from your profile menu.
    2. Select Settings, then under Sender Email (SMTP) Configuration, click Add Sender Email.
    3. Select Microsoft and continue.
    4. Log in to your Microsoft account and grant permissions.
    5. Send a test email and save if successful.

This uses OAuth 2.0 authentication, so no need for username/password in the SMTP settings.

    Hi Jennaha,

If you don't have access to the Admin Console, please contact your Jotform account administrator to configure the SMTP settings for you, as this feature is available only for Enterprise accounts with admin privileges.

    Hi Jennaha,

You can easily set up a Microsoft SMTP to use your email sender as provider. Let me walk you through it:

    1. In My Forms, click on the Avatar on the upper right side of your screen.
    2. In the dropdown menu, click on Settings.
    3. Now, click on +Add Sender EmailSMTP with 2FA Office365 Image 1 Screenshot 30 Screenshot 10 Screenshot 10 Screenshot 10 Screenshot 10 Screenshot 10 Screenshot 10
    4. Then, select Microsoft, on the pop-up menu that opens.
    5. Now, click on the blue Continue button.
    6. Log in to your preferred Microsoft account and ensure to allow permission when asked.SMTP with 2FA Office365 Image 2 Screenshot 41 Screenshot 21 Screenshot 21 Screenshot 21 Screenshot 21 Screenshot 21 Screenshot 21

After granting the permission, your SMTP will be ready. You can Send Test Email or Save your changes to complete your custom sender email settings.

Give it a try and let us know if you need any help.

Will we need to re-authorize the account after 90 days if the password changed?

    Hi jennaha,

Yes, if the password is changed, Microsoft may revoke the token for security. This means the user might need to re-authorize the account even if it's before the 90 days.

Let us know if there’s anything else we can do for you.
