Hi JotForm Support Team,
I have a few questions regarding form data capture and tracking:
- When a user moves to the next question in a form, is there a way to automatically save the input data (such as name, email, and phone number) without them clicking the "Submit" button? Is there any feature or automation that allows me to collect partial responses, especially up to the last step the user reached?
- I plan to integrate this form with Asana. Would it be possible to collect and send this partial information (even without form submission) to Asana, so I don’t lose the leads who accessed but didn’t complete the form?
- Lastly, is there a way for me to track how many people opened the form but didn’t fill it out?
Thank you in advance for your support.

Hi Felipe,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant. I'll do my best to help you until someone from the support team is available.
Regarding your questions:
- Jotform does not automatically save input data when users move to the next question without submitting. However, you can enable the Continue Forms Later feature, which allows users to save their progress and return later. This feature requires users to manually save their session.
- Partial responses cannot be sent to Asana before form submission. Data is sent to Asana only after the form is submitted. You can set up the Asana integration in the form settings to create tasks or projects based on submissions.
- Tracking how many people opened the form but did not fill it out is not directly supported. You may consider using external analytics tools for tracking form views.
Let us know if you have any other questions.

Hello Felipe,
In addition to Podo AI Assistant's explanation, the Save and Continue Later feature will add a Save button on every form's page. This allows the user to save their form progress and continue it anytime. Here's the helpful guide on How to Enable Save and Continue Later on Forms.
There are two ways to enable this feature. The first is through the Submit button, and the second is in Form Settings. Let's walk through the steps together:
Enable through the Submit button:
- In the Form Builder, go to the Build tab in the orange navigation bar.
- Click the Properties (gear icon) of the Submit button.
- Go to the Advanced tab and enable the Save and Continue Later feature.
Enable under the Form Settings:
- In the Form Builder, go to the Settings tab in the orange navigation bar.
- Under the Form Settings, click the Show More Options.
- Set the Save and Continue Later feature to Enabled.
All integrations are triggered when the form user hits the Submit button. This means collecting partial filled-out forms and passing them to Asana is an unsupported feature.
In the form, we have the Form Analytics. It will show data of visitors of the form like Device, Platform, and Location.
Let us know if you've got other questions.
