Hi Anna,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Regarding your question about whether people who fill out a Jotform form receive a confirmation email or just get redirected to a thank you page, here is how it works:
By default, after submitting a form, users are shown a Thank You page. This page can either be the built-in Thank You page or a custom external URL that you set up to redirect users to after submission. This means you can choose to redirect respondents to a web link that says thanks or any other page you want. It's easy to change the Thank You Page settings in Form Builder. Let me help you with it:
1. In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Settings.
2. In the menu on the left side of the page, click on Thank You Page.
3. In the Thank You Page section, click on the Gear icon on the top right side of the page.
4. In the Thank You Page Settings menu, select the layout you want, hover over it, and click on Change Image to update the image displayed on the Thank You page.
5. Then, click on the Fields tab, and click on the Plus icon to add form fields.
1. While in the Thank You Page section, select the Redirect to An External Link After Submission option above the Thank You Page content.
2. Enter the URL address you want to redirect people to in the Enter URL section, and that's it.
- In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Settings.
- In the menu on the left side of the page, click on Emails.
- Now, click on Add Email.
- Then, select Autoresponder Email, and customize the options the way you want them, and you’re done.
