Square Integration: Getting Orders_Write Error when users try to complete the payment

A client tried paying their bill on our website, but it would not let them. The error message received is below.

    "Payment Error I:

The merchant has not given your application sufficient permissions to do that. The merchant must authorize your application for the following scopes: ORDERS_WRITE"

Square is used for payment integration. Not sure if this is a jotform integration error or on squares end.

    Hi wsppmke,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. The error you're seeing means the connected Square account didn’t grant the needed permissions for the integration to work. To fix this, just remove the current Square connection in your form and reconnect it.

First, let me show you how to remove the connection:

    1. In Form Builder, click on the Credit Card icon on the right side of the page to open Payment Properties.
    2. In the Payment Properties menu, temporarily switch the Payment Type from User-Defined Amount to Sell Products.
    3. Click on Yes, Change in the window that opens.
    4. Now, click on the Trash icon and click on Yes, Remove in the window that opens next.

    1. While in the Payment Properties menu, click on Add Payment Connection.
    2. In the window that pops-up, choose the Square connection you've been using, then click on Use.
    3. Switch the Payment Type again from Sell Products back to User Defined Amount.
    4. Click on Yes, Change in the window that opens next, and you're done.
