Changing Phone Number from Deleted Account

I had a different account I deleted it a few days ago and now I'm trying to add my business phone number to my new account and it wont let me because it says the number is still in use by a different account

If your business phone number is still linked to your old deleted account, it might take some time for the system to release it. Please wait a little longer and try again. If the issue persists, you may need to contact support to have the number released from the old account.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

The deleted accounts remain in the system for 30 days. After that time, you can use the linked information, such as email address or phone number. Can you share the account's email address with us for the solution? We can change the email address of that account for you.

Once we hear back from you, we'll be able to help you with this.

I don't want to change the email I want the number but its ok I'll wait.

Phone numbers are not linked with accounts, and is not required when creating a new account. Can you explain a bit more about the issue, so I can get a better idea of what's happening? If you can take a screenshot of what’s happening, that'll help us to understand better what’s going on. Let me show you how to post a screenshot to our Help Center:

1. On the Help Center page, scroll down to the Your Answer section and click on the Image icon.

2. Drag and drop your image into the Upload box, or click on it and select your file.

3. Then, click on the Add button in the bottom-right corner of the window.

4. To resize it, click on your screenshot and then click on one of the boxes in the corners, and drag it inward.

5. Once you're finished, click on the Post Answer button at the bottom right of the Your Answer section.
