I am trying to change the text on the Back button to the one I would like the users to see. Yet, it gets re-written to the default "Back" word upon a page refresh. It comes out as a Back button in a pre-view mode or when the form is published as well, instead the wording I would it to contain. How do I make sure my wording sticks?

Hi inspektor.praci,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I cloned your form and tested it to see if I could replicate the issue, but everything was working properly. Check out the screencast below to see my result:
Like what you see in the screencast, the text I added on the Back button didn't reset after I refresh the page. When I check the Page Breaks on your forms, it shows that you haven't added a text to the Back button. As a result, the text is defaulted to Back. Can you try to add a text on the Page Break? Let me show you how:
- In Form Builder, select the Page Break and click on the Gear icon.
- In Page Break Properties that opens on the right side of the page, add a text on the text box under Back Button Text.
Give it a try and let us know if you need any help.

Hi Chris,
This is not working - see the attached before the Form Preview and after I press the button - my text is not reflected.

Hi inspektor.praci,
I checked your form and it appears that there's no text entered on the Back button. Take a look at the screenshot below:
I can look into this for you. I’ll just need access to your account to do that. Don't worry, you can disable that again after we're done checking things out. Let me show you how to do it:
1. In the top-right corner of your My Forms page, click on your Avatar/Profile Image icon.
2. In the small window that opens, click on Settings.
3. In the panel on the left, click on the Security tab.
4. Then, on the bottom-right side of the page, toggle Jotform Support Access to the On position.
After we hear back from you, we’ll have a better idea of what’s going on and how to help.

Hi Chris, interestingly, I can see the text as per the new screenshot attached. Access granted.

Hi Alex,
I cloned your form and tried updating all the Back text, and it seems to be working correctly:
I went ahead and cleared your form cache, can you try adding the text button again?
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

Hi Mary,
No, still the same issue. Would removing this navigation section and adding it again help?

Hi inspektor.praci,
I cloned your form and tested it to see if I could replicate the issue, and I ran into the same issue. It's because of the arrow you're adding to the texts. Check out the screencast below showing the issue if an arrow was added:

Hi John,
Works now, thank you - do you know why the errors do not cause the same issue with a Forward button?

Hi Alex,
As my colleague mentioned, this is indeed the issue. But, the less-than symbol (<) is used as an opening tag in HTML, which may be why the system is removing it. To ensure that both symbols are displayed correctly before ‘Nazad’, I suggest using the following:
<- Назад
Take a look at the screenshot below:
Using this will ensure that the back arrow is displayed, as originally intended. Take a look at the screencast below to see my results.
