Filters on the report form builder does not seem to be working

We have a report template that we use to publish our employee satisfaction survey for each of our offices. The data is not importing and when we try to parse it outside of the report age the filters are not working.

    Hi Support_support765_support,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant. I'll do my best to help you until someone from the support team is available.

Regarding the issue with filters on your report form builder not applying and returning zero entries, here’s a concise guide to troubleshoot and use filters effectively:

    • Apply Filters Correctly: After setting your filters, make sure to click the Apply Filter button to save and activate them.
    • Filter Types: You can filter by submission status (Unread, Read, Starred, Unstarred), submission date using the date picker, or use advanced filters for specific fields with conditions like equals, includes, less than, etc.
    • Check Data Import: Ensure your employee satisfaction survey data is properly imported into Jotform Tables or the report source, as filters work on existing data.

If filters are still not working, try removing and re-adding them, and verify that no filter conditions are left empty as they get removed automatically.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Hi Support_support765_support,

Since the usual steps didn't resolve the issue, here are some additional points to check:

    • Ensure your data is correctly imported into the source (Jotform Tables or report data source).
    • Verify that all filters are properly set and applied by clicking the Apply Filter button after configuring them.
    • For date filtering, use the date picker under the filter settings and confirm the date range is correct.
    • Try removing all filters and re-adding them carefully, ensuring no filter fields are left empty as empty filters get removed automatically.
    • If using advanced filters, check that the conditions (equals, includes, less than, etc.) match the data type and values in your submissions.

If the problem persists, it might be related to how the data is parsed or imported outside the report page. Double-check the data source integrity and format.

    Hi Support_support765_support,

Can you share with us what seems to happen when testing the report so we can check? You can use Loom, or any screen recording platform, and send the video link here. Can you also explain a bit more about importing the data and parsing it outside the report range? Are you trying to upload a file on your report?

Once we hear back from you, we'll be able to help you with this.
