Is it possible to set up conditional logic when integrating with Monday.com?

    Hello,

I currently use both Jotform and Monday.com to help manage submissions / reviews. I use one form for students to submit multiple assignments (example: Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3).

In the form, one of the questions is "Which assignment are you submitting?" and students can input or select part 1, part 2, or part 3.

Is it possible for an integration to be built around the selection for that input? For example, if student selects "Part 1" then item is created in a Monday board, under a group for Part 1?

    Hi Julia,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant. I'll do my best to help you until someone from the support team is available.

Yes, you can set up conditional logic with the Monday.com integration in Jotform to create items in specific groups based on the student's selection in your form. When setting up the Monday.com integration, you select the board and group where the item will be created. You can match your form fields to the Monday.com fields accordingly.

For your case, you would create multiple integration actions, each targeting a different group (Part 1, Part 2, Part 3) on your Monday.com board. Then, use Jotform's conditional logic to trigger the appropriate integration action based on the student's selection for "Which assignment are you submitting?" This way, if a student selects "Part 1," the item will be created under the Part 1 group, and so on.

Let me know if you want detailed steps on setting this up.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Hi Julia,

Here’s how to set up conditional logic with Monday.com integration in Jotform:

    1. Go to the Settings tab in your form builder and click Integrations.
    2. Select Monday.com and connect your account using your API key.
    3. Create multiple integration actions, each targeting a different group on your Monday.com board (e.g., Part 1, Part 2, Part 3).
    4. Match your form fields to the Monday.com fields for each action.
    5. Use Jotform’s conditional logic to trigger the appropriate integration action based on the student's selection for "Which assignment are you submitting?".

This setup will create items in the correct Monday.com group based on the student's choice.

Give it a try and let us know if you need further assistance.
