Hello Jotforms Teams, you guys are doing very great, my names Sotonye Briggs a wordpress user and lover. I am writing to solicit for assistance, so i came across your Gate Pass form App, it is brilliant and i love it, i am building a tutorial project on the subject matter but i am stuck in the check out form.

Your Gate Pass form has a visitor check in form, how can i build another form for the visitor check out? And i wish to make the check out form very simple in such a way that once i enter the visitors names in the search box, it will fetch his/her information from the check in and the visitor will just check out.

Please, kindly assist me on how to go about this, i will be very grateful.

    Thank you.

    Hi Sotonye,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Are you planning to have 2 forms? One for check-in and one for check-out? You mentioned you want to enter the visitors' names in the search box and it will fetch their information from the check-in to show on the check-out form. Currently, this is not possible. There is no option to search the data of your Form 1 from your Form 2.

What you can do instead is have a Check-in and Check-out section on just 1 form. Once they fill in the Check-in section and submit, they will receive an Autoresponder Email with an Edit Link so when they check out, they will click on that link so they can fill up the form's Check-out section. If that sounds good, let me show you how to easily set up an Autoresponder Email, enabling people to edit their submission later:

    1. In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Settings.

    2. In the menu on the left side of the page, click on Emails.

    3. Hover your mouse over your Autoresponder and click on the Pencil icon to customize it.

    4. Click on the Email Content window, then click on Form Fields, and select Edit Link.

    5. Customize the Edit Link the way you want, and when you're finished, click on Save on the bottom-right side of the Email Content window.

After submitting the form, submitters will receive an email like the one below. Once they click on it, they'll be able to edit their submission and continue filling out the rest of the form:
