Save And Continue Later: Extend the deletion time of the incomplete submissions

Hi there,

We are using the save and continue later function on one of our forms. I read that submissions not completed within 2 months will be automatically deleted, but we want to change this to a much longer timeline. Users are using this form to track their progress in our program, and we would be devastated if they lost their progress on the form after 2 months. Is there any way we can extend that timeline so that the responses in draft are not deleted?

Currently, the save and continue later drafts that are not submitted are automatically deleted after 2 months, and this timeline cannot be extended. Unfortunately, there is no option to change this deletion period for incomplete submissions.

If preserving user progress for longer is critical, you might consider alternative methods such as encouraging users to submit their forms or using external data storage solutions to save progress.

Unfortunately, it's not possible to extend the time of the Incomplete Submissions for being saved on the Tables before it gets permanently deleted. While the feature you're looking for isn't available at Jotform right now, we've gone ahead and escalated your request to our developers. Exactly when or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users also request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.

As a workaround, you can add an edit link in the Autoresponder email, so users can still edit their submission any time they want. Let me show you how to do this:

1. In Form Builder, click on Settings on the orange navigation bar at the top of the page.
2. Select Emails from the left side window.
3. Click on the Pencil icon of the Autoresponder.
4. In the Email Content, click on Form Fields and select Edit Link.
5. Click on Save at the bottom of the page.
