Autoresponder is not working.

    Why are people who fill out one of my forms not receiving an autoresponder message?

    People who fill out your form may not be receiving the autoresponder message due to settings in your form's email configuration. To fix this, please check the following:

    • Go to your form's Settings tab and select Emails.
    • Ensure you have an Autoresponder Email set up correctly with the right recipient email field.
    • Check the Recipients tab in the autoresponder settings to confirm the recipient email is set to the form field that collects the user's email.
    • Review the Advanced tab to verify the sender email and other settings are properly configured.
    • Test your form by submitting it and checking if the autoresponder email is received.

    If you use custom domains or email providers, make sure to whitelist Jotform's IP addresses and domains or set up SMTP for sending emails.

    yes the test works but I am having several people say that they are not getting a confirmation.

    Hi Dana,

    If the test works but some users aren't receiving the confirmation, it could be due to their email providers marking the autoresponder as spam or blocking it. Please ask them to check their spam or junk folders.

    Also, consider setting up SMTP for your form emails to improve deliverability, or whitelist Jotform's IP addresses and domains with your email provider.

    Hi Dana,

    In addition to Podo's reply, you can also easily View Your Form Email Logs in your account settings to see if there's indeed an email sent to your form-fillers. Let me show you how:

    1. Go to the History tab on your Account Settings page.
    2. Click on All Actions in the top-right corner of the History page, and in the dropdown menu that opens, scroll down to the bottom and select Emails.
    3. Click on the External Link icon on the right side of the Form ID to open the email of the related submission.
