Sign Automation: Option to allow multiple signers

Regular Jotform allows us to create a document where the user can upload a file to attach to the form.

Jotform Sign allows us to have two dynamic signers, where I can create a link that signer 1 can use, and signer 1 can enter the name and email address for signer 2.

Is there any way we can have both features in one form? i.e. Is it somehow possible to have two dynamic signers, but also allow the 1st signer to upload/attach a pdf or image file to be carried along with the form to the 2nd signer?

    thanks

    Hi Pat,

This would've been possible if there's only one signer. You can use Jotform Sign Automation on a regular form to allow users to upload files then sign the document when they submit. However, it's not meant for multiple signers.

If your workflow needs both file uploads and multiple signers, one option is to use a regular Jotform form to collect the file upload first, then include the Sign Document link in the Autoresponder Email sent to the submitter. However, the first signer will need to fill out the document again since prefilling Jotform Sign documents isn’t possible yet.

This setup would work great if Jotform Sign Automation on regular forms supported multiple signers, so I've gone ahead and escalated this as a feature request to our developers. Exactly when or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users also request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, we appreciate it.

Can I "chain" together two regular forms? In this scenario:

    • the first signer fills-out all the info, uploads an attachment, then enters the name and email address of the second signer, then presses [Submit]
    • on submit, a link to a 2nd form is sent to the second signer, and the first form is attached as an attachment *OR* instead of an attachment perhaps all the relevant information is pre-filled for the second signer on the 2nd form

    Is that possible?

    Hi Pat,

Yes, this is possible using two regular forms. I am using classic form. First, you need to create two forms, one for the signer 1 and the second for the signer 2. Then, you need to set up an Autoresponder Email, and use the second Signer email field to send the Autoresponder email. Also, you need to include the link of the second form. Let me show you how to set that up:

    1. IForm Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Settings.
    2. In the menu on the left side of the page, click on Emails.
    3. Now, click on Add Email.
    4. Then, select Autoresponder Email, and include the second form in the email content.

Additionally, you can attach the submission PDF files to your Autoresponder email Emails is easy. Let me walk you through it:

    1. In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on the Settings tab.

    2. In the menu on the left side of the page, click on Emails.

    3. Hover your mouse over the Autoresponder Email element and click on the Pencil icon.

    4. Click on the Advanced tab, toggle Attach PDF to the On position, and select the PDF file you created.

    5. Now, scroll down, click on Save, and you're done.

Here's the email that will be received by the second signer, as you can see there's second form link above, and include the PDF attachment.

Give it a try and let us know if you need any more help.
