I need to reset the Too Many Requests counter for a client

Hello, my client info@ahcbulldogboosters.com has multiple admins trying to log in and they have triggered the Too Many Requests block. One of them has changed the password but nobody can get in to see if the new password works. Can they please have that reset so they can log in?

    Thanks,

    Garret Matsuura

    Hi arclightmedia,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant. I'll do my best to help you until someone from the support team is available.

Regarding the "Too Many Requests" block for your client, this usually happens when multiple login attempts trigger a rate limit. Unfortunately, there is no direct user control to reset this counter immediately.

However, the block typically resets automatically after some time. In the meantime, you can try clearing the form cache or waiting for the reset period to pass.

If the issue persists beyond a reasonable time, please let us know, and we can explore further options.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

How long is "Some Time"? They are trying to coordinate tickets for a memorial service and need access.

    Thanks,

    Garret

    Hi Garret,

The "Too Many Requests" block usually resets automatically after about an hour. We recommend waiting for this period before trying to log in again.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Hi Garret,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. The Too Many Requests error occurs when multiple login attempts are made in a short period, leading to a temporary block for security reasons. Note that the Bronze plan is a single-user plan, and multiple logins from different users violate our Terms of Use. To remain compliant, only the designated account owner should access the account. If your team requires multi-user access, we recommend considering Jotform Enterprise, which is designed for team collaboration.

To resolve the issue, ask the account owner to contact us directly so we can assist further in resetting the login restriction. In the meantime, waiting a short period before attempting to log in again may help.

Let us know if there’s anything else we can help you with.

Thanks Kyle. I will let them know. And please note, the additional logins were a one-off issue as one of the board members passed away and they have been in emergency mode. It was never meant to be a regular thing.

    Hi Garret,

We understand the urgency given the circumstances. As mentioned earlier, the Too Many Requests block is a temporary security measure that usually resets automatically after about an hour. Unfortunately, there is no immediate manual reset available on our end unless the account owner contacts us directly for assistance.

Since this was a one-time emergency situation, we recommend waiting for the block to clear after the cooldown period. Meanwhile, if the account owner needs further help with resetting the login restriction, they can reach out to us directly.

We appreciate your understanding and are here to assist if anything else comes up.
