    5. General Widget Controls:

Standard Read-Only Option: Provide a built-in "Read-Only" setting for all input-capable widgets (including map-based ones) to prevent user modification, without needing CSS workarounds.

    Hi Alex Smith,

Currently, Jotform does not offer a built-in universal "Read-Only" setting for all widgets. Each widget has its own settings, and while some may allow disabling input, a global read-only toggle is not available at this time. For map-based widgets, there is no direct read-only option either.

To achieve a read-only effect, users often apply custom CSS, but we understand this is not ideal. Your suggestion for a built-in option is valuable, and we will consider it for future improvements.

While the feature you're looking for isn't available at Jotform right now, we've gone ahead and escalated your request to our developers. Exactly when or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users also request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, we appreciate it.
