When the Form Separator widget template is being shared, it displays as code parameter

    Hello

    I had a form template shared with me by another Jotform user. The template uses the Form Separators widget.

    When I preview the form, instead of seeing the separators, I get this for each separator in the form:

    var formSeparatParams = { formSeparatorId : "89", formSeparatorStyle :"solid", formSeparatorColor : "#000000", formHeight : "5", formSeparatorHorizontalSpace : "5", formSeparatorSpaceAbove : "5", formSeparatorSpaceBelow : "5", autosize: false }

    To fix the problem I had to open up the settings for each separator widget and click on the blue UPDATE button. Then preview works fine.

    I cloned the form to see if the same happens within my own workspace and it doesn't.

    I then sent a template with this widget back to the other user, and they had the same issue.

    Whilst I was able to easily fix my problem, I assume this is not working as intended?

    Thanks

    Hi tdrosso,

    Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. From what you describe, When shared, a form template with the Form Separators widget initially displays separators as code parameters instead of their visual format. Clicking the blue UPDATE button in the widget settings resolves the issue. Cloning the form into your workspace does not cause the problem, but sending the template back to the original user does.

    I tried sharing the Form Separators Widget template to my other account to see if I could replicate the issue, but the widget is showing properly without clicking the update button in the widget settings. Take a look at the screencast below:

We also recommend clearing your browser caches and cookies. Can you go ahead and try again? If the issue persist, try using a different browser and disable it's extension especially ad blockers and privacy tool to see if it makes any difference.

    Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Hello Joeni

    thanks for testing this out. I still have the problem after clearing both browser & Jotform caches. I've also tried Chrome, Firefox and the browser on a tablet with the same results. It's good to know that you have not experienced this, and if anybody else should have the same experience as me then this thread will help them out.

    In my case I'm dumping the widget and using the standard separator instead.

    Great support, very responsive, much appreciated!
