When using the send form function, is there a way to send an image that was uploaded to the original form to the new form.

    Hi Bryan,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Currently, there is no direct way to transfer an uploaded image from one form to another automatically through the send form function. Uploaded images are stored as part of the original form's submission data and are not automatically passed or embedded into a new form.

However, here are some alternative approaches you might consider:

    • Export the submission data, including the uploaded image URLs, from the original form.
    • Import the data into the new form using Jotform's Import Data feature, which allows transferring submission data.
    • If you want to display images on your form, you can use the Image element or Paragraph element to add images by URL or upload them manually.

These methods require manual steps but can help you manage and display uploaded images across forms. While the feature you're looking for isn't available at Jotform right now, we've gone ahead and escalated your request to our developers. Exactly when or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users also request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, we appreciate it.

What about sending the PDF that is generated on the original form, along with the email for the new form?

    Hi Bryan,

Currently, Jotform does not support automatically attaching the PDF generated from one form submission to the email notification or autoresponder of another form via the send form function. The PDF files generated are tied to the original form's submission and cannot be directly passed or forwarded to a new form's email notifications.

However, you may consider creating a Smart PDF on a new form where you can upload a PDF and map form fields. This way, the data from one form can be passed to another, allowing you to generate a combined PDF that suits your needs.

Let us know if you any other help.
