Hello,
I am wondering if this is possible...
I want to create a Jot Form that when submitted will use the information and to fill out 3 other government related PDF Forms. Here's what I am trying to do.
We offer Professional Learning classes and need to fill out 2-3 forms to submit to the government for approval to offer CEs (Continuing Education credits). Each for wants a lot of the same information. I am trying to have staff fill out ONE form with all of the information needed and then transfer the needed info to each PDF Form automatically.
IF this is possible, is there a link to a tutorial on how?
thank you

Hi heathershelby,
Yes, you can definitely prefill one form using the answers from another form. Let me walk you through how to set this up:
1. In Form Builder, click on the Settings tab at the top.
2. On the left panel, select Thank You Page.
3. Click on the Action Buttons option.
4. In the pop-up that appears, click on Fill Another Form.
5. Choose the second form you want to prefill and edit the name, then click Set Prefill.
6. Toggle on Prefill Form Fields, and match the fields from the first form to the second form. You can click on Add More Fields to include additional matches if needed.
7. Once everything is mapped correctly, click Save.
8. Then click Save to finish the setup.
After this, when someone submits the first form, they’ll see a button on the Thank You Page that opens the second form with the fields already filled in. The result:

second form I am trying to prefill - does it have to be another JotForm or
can it be a fillable PDF?

Hi heathershelby,
The second form should be a form in Jotform. If you have a fillable PDF, you can instead convert it to a form so you can prefill it after the first form. Jotform makes it easy to integrate your PDF files using Smart PDF Forms. Let me walk you through it:
1. On your My Forms page, click on Create Form on the top-left side of the page.
2. Choose Import Form and then Import PDF Form.
3. Now, upload your PDF file.
4. Add the necessary fields and customize them using the Add Form Element menu on the left side of the page.
Sometimes, the fields that are automatically created in the PDF file will be in the wrong place. If that happens, you'll have to move and resize the fields. Check out the screencast below to see how to do that:
That's it. The final preview will look like the one below:
Once you've set this up, you can then prefill these with data from the first form.
Let us know if there’s anything else we can help you with.
