Hi Jotform team,
I’m using the Dynamic QR Code widget in my form to send registration data (parent name, student name, class, etc.) as a QR code.
I've set up a Form Calculation widget (qrString) to combine these fields using + "\n" for line breaks.
The QR shows up — but when I scan it, the output is not formatted correctly. It just shows one long line or a string with symbols like +, \n, etc., rather than clean, readable lines like:
Parent: ABCStudent: XYZ
Class: 5
......
Can you please help me:- Confirm the correct way to use \n or any newline in Calculation widget for QR
- Ensure the QR code shows proper formatting on scan
- Advise if any special encoding or HTML-safe characters are needed
Thanks,
Wilfred

Hi Kris,
Just checking in—any update on this? The QR code formatting issue is still unresolved, and I haven’t heard back since your last message.
Would really appreciate a quick resolution or next steps.
Thanks,
Wilfred

Hi Wilfred,
After a few tests for possible workarounds, unfortunately it's not possible to add line breaks to the QR code generated by Dynamic QR Code widget. While the feature you're looking for isn't available at Jotform right now, we've gone ahead and escalated your request to our developers.
Exactly when or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users also request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.
Thanks for your patience and understanding, we appreciate it.
