Just trying to learn to use Jotforms as embedded order forms - 3 questions

    Hi Jotforms,

Thank you for a great product. I am excited to use Jotform. so far it is working out as an embedded form in my GoDaddy website.

    I have 3 questions.

First, In Outlook, I clicked on a notice from you about an order and created a rule to put it in "Orders Placed" box I also created.

Unfortunately, now everything I get from you goes to this box...because everything you send used same no reply email. Can you help me isolate just orders to automatically send them to an "Orders Placed" mailbox?

Second, I have just started business. Each time I try to download completed forms to use in filling orders, I get invoices, not the forms. I have tried downloading on Tables page; using email link and from inbox page. They all seem to behave differently, but none allow me to load original .pdf and some give me only invoice.

Can you please help me determine easiest way to quickly download form and its attachments to complete an order?

3rd - when I included a pay window, I chose PayPal and Credit card.

One customer said when when she used "Credit Card", the window did not allow her to scroll down to submit. She had to use Paypal. Does this mean I need only the Paypal window to accept both Paypal and credit/debit cards?

    Thank you so much.

    Hi Glen,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant. I'll do my best to help you until someone from the support team is available.

    Regarding your questions:

    1. Outlook email rule: Since all Jotform emails come from the same no-reply address, to isolate order emails, you can create a rule based on specific keywords in the email subject or body related to orders. This way, only emails containing those keywords will go to your "Orders Placed" folder.

    2. Downloading completed forms: In Jotform Inbox, select the submissions you want, then click Download and choose PDF to get the original filled form. If your form has file uploads, you can also download attachments separately. This is the easiest way to get the form and attachments for order fulfillment.

    3. Payment options: PayPal payment integration allows customers to pay via PayPal or credit/debit cards. If a customer has trouble with the credit card option, it might be related to their device or browser. You don't need separate windows; PayPal covers both payment types.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

Sorry, Step 2 is where I'm having problems.

When I click Download all from the Table or Just select one for to "Download" , I then click .pdf.

I get no options after that, only a download of invoice.

    Hi Glen,

When you click Download PDF in Tables or Inbox and only get the invoice, try this:

In Jotform Inbox, select the entries, click Download, then choose Download as PDF > Original PDF to get the filled form itself.

In Tables, when downloading multiple entries as PDF, a zip file with original PDFs will be emailed to you once ready.

For attachments, use the Download Attachments option separately.

This should help you get the original filled forms and attachments for your orders.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Hi Glen,

If you're only getting the invoice PDF when downloading, it's because the invoice feature generates a separate PDF from the original form submission.

To download the original filled form PDF with submission data:

    1. In Jotform Tables, select the entries you want.
    2. Click Download in the upper-right corner and choose Download as PDF.
    3. For multiple entries, a zip file with original PDFs will be emailed to you once ready.

In Jotform Inbox, select the entries, click Download, then choose Download as PDF > Original PDF.

This will give you the original filled form, not the invoice.

Let me know if you need more help.

Nope. First method, clicking download from table creates link only to invoice.

Second method, from Inbox give my only simple print version. No original pdf.

    Hi Glen,

To download the original filled PDF with submission data:

    1. In Jotform Tables, select the entries you want.
    2. Click Download in the upper-right corner and select Download as PDF. For multiple entries, a zip file with original PDFs will be emailed to you.
    3. In Jotform Inbox, select the entries, click Download, then choose Download as PDF > Original PDF.

This process downloads the original form, not the invoice or simple print version.

    Hi Glen,

Thank you for your patience. Since the usual methods are giving you invoices instead of the original forms, it might be due to the form's PDF settings or the way the PDF templates are configured.

Please check your form's PDF Editor to ensure the original submission PDF template is set up correctly. You can customize or reset it to default to make sure it includes all form data.

If this doesn’t resolve the issue, consider downloading submissions one by one directly from the submission view where the original PDF option should appear.

Let me know if you need guidance on accessing or adjusting the PDF Editor.

    Hi Glen,

To ensure your original submission PDF template is set up correctly:

    1. Go to your form's PDF Editor.
    2. Check if the template includes all the fields you want from your form.
    3. If needed, click Reset to Default to restore the original layout.
    4. Save the template after making changes.

This will ensure the original filled form PDF contains all submission data when downloaded.

Let me know if you want detailed steps on accessing PDF Editor.

Absolutely did not solve problem. whether or not the template is set up correctly has no bearing on whether I download the form itself or just an invoice.

    Hi Glen,

Thanks for clarifying. Since the PDF Editor settings don't affect the download issue, it might be related to the specific form or account settings.

Could you please try downloading the submissions one by one directly from the submission view? This method usually provides the original filled form PDF.

If the issue persists, it may require a closer look at your form setup or account. Let me know if you want guidance on downloading from the submission view.

    Hi Glen,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. To answer your first question; you need to make some adjustments in the Outlook email rules. You need to add specific keywords. You can also modify the email Notification's Email subject line as well. Let me show you how:

    1. In Form Builderin the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on the Settings tab.

    2. In the menu on the left side of the page, click on Emails.

    3. Hover your mouse over the Notification Email element and click on the Pencil icon. Just trying to learn to use Jotforms as embedded order forms 3 questions Image 1 Screenshot 30

    4. Click on the Form Fields in the Email Subject. Then click on the SAVE button. That's it. Just trying to learn to use Jotforms as embedded order forms 3 questions Image 2 Screenshot 41
