enjoying getting started setting up a new ai agent, but can't figure out why you would have a 'restart' button so casually placed at the top of the train your agent section. seems like it would be really easy to click thinking you just wanted to refresh the page, but it sounds like that would wipe out all of the training we've put in place. am I understanding that correctly?

The 'Restart' button in the Train Your Agent section is not just a page refresh. Clicking it will reset your AI agent's training, wiping out all the progress you've made. So, it's important to use it carefully to avoid losing your training data.
If you want to refresh the page without losing your training, avoid using the Restart button.

I'd like to hear from a person on your team about why that button is there. seems dangerous and should have a few more clicks invovled to make sure nothing is lost.

Thanks for your reply! I do really think that the Restart button should include more steps to avoid losing critical training inputs that were added over time. It would be very difficult to 'remember' everything that was added if it was accidentaly lost.

Rest assured that your feedback about the Restart button will be look into. Since a feature request was already submitted for this. Exactly when or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users also request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.

I’d like to clarify how the “Restart” button works in the Teach Your Agent tab. Clicking this button only restarts the current chat session, it does not delete or reset any of your agent’s training data or examples.

Dear Ali,
Thank you so much for the clarification! That all makes more sense. It was initially the Ai itself 😂 and another support team member that suggested it 'reset' the entire training input.

Is it possible to add a similar style button on the AI Agents themselves? I would love the option to "reset" the conversation if need be. Closing or refreshing does not "reset" the chat with a regular AI Agent.

There is no similar button for reseting AI Agent. However, you can use "Start New Chat" button in the hamburger menu for a fresh start to your conversation as you can see below.
