We create the Form https://form.jotform.com/251333103490445, using unique ID in the widget. We embed the form on our Wordpress Website https://www.tm.mahidol.ac.th/policy/tmqf-registration-form/ . However, the Unique ID seems to be repeated at one number all the time.
Do you have any suggestion to amend this error?
I've to manually edit them directly from the Jotform Table. However, our registrant all got the wrong number and QR-code.

Hi bstmdlearn,
Thanks for reaching out to us for help. I'm an AI assistant. I'll do my best to help you until someone from the support team is available.
Regarding the duplicate Unique ID issue in your form, this usually happens if the Current Index in the Unique ID widget settings is set lower than the highest existing ID, causing the widget to generate repeated numbers.
Here’s how to fix it:
- Open your form in Form Builder.
- Click the Unique ID widget and open its settings.
- Check the Current Index value and set it to a number higher than your last generated ID.
This will prevent the widget from generating duplicate IDs going forward. Also, avoid manually lowering the Current Index to prevent repeats.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

I have no problem with the index. They kept repeated number all the time, for example if it get stuck at 27, it will keep going on with 27 forever.

Hi bstmdlearn,
If the Unique ID widget is stuck on one number and keeps repeating, it may be a widget issue or a caching problem on your website. Try clearing your website cache or re-embedding the form.
Also, check if any custom scripts or plugins on your WordPress site might interfere with the widget.
If the problem persists, consider removing and re-adding the Unique ID widget to reset it.

Hi bstmdlearn,
The website cache suggestion was to address possible caching issues on your WordPress site that might cause the form to load outdated data, including the Unique ID. Since your users can't clear their cache, you can clear your form cache in your Jotform account settings:
- Go to your My Workspace page.
- Click your Profile Picture and select Settings.
- Under Form Caches, click Clear Cache.
This refreshes your forms and may resolve the issue without requiring action from your users.

Hi bstmdlearn,
If clearing the cache and re-embedding didn't help, the issue might be related to the Unique ID widget itself. You can try removing the widget from your form and adding it again to reset it.
Also, ensure no other plugins or custom scripts on your WordPress site are interfering with the form.
If the problem continues, consider using the Submission ID column in Jotform Tables as a unique identifier instead, which is automatically generated and guaranteed unique.

Hi bstmdlearn,
I cloned your form, but I can't replicate the issue. I did several tests, and it consistently follow the incremental value, and doesn't get stuck on a certain order. Is the issue happening when submissions are made from the website? Does it somehow help if for example, after getting stuck, it would suddenly work when a submission is made directly from the form URL?
I've gone ahead and cleared your form cache, can you make a test submission to your form and see how it goes? If the issue persists, it would be great if you allow us access your account, and allow us make a test submission so we can further inspect what's going on. Don't worry, you can disable the support access again after we're done checking things out. Let me show you how to do it:
1. In the upper-right corner of your My Forms page, click on your Avatar/Profile Image icon.
2. In the small window that opens, click on Settings.
3. In the panel on the left, click on the Security tab.
4. Then, on the bottom-right side of the page, toggle Jotform Support Access to the On position.
After we hear back from you, we’ll have a better idea of what’s going on and how to help.

The problem may be a bit complicated.
I need running number to create Unique ID, then I want to generate QRcode from that Unique ID.
Firstly, QR code are not appeared at all when I directly used 'unique ID' field, and these Unique ID is not appeared on the form, then the registant don't know their number. Therefore, I've genrated another calculation field name 'ID' and use value from 'Unique field' and generate QR code from this ID instead. In which it works.
However, the problem comes when the unique ID is not appeared on ID, it seems to fixed and get discordant.
I just notice that the number that's fixed is the ID not the unique ID.

Hi bstmdlearn,
Can you share with us a screen recording of what’s happening so we can try to replicate it on our end? You can share the video recording on any public sharing platform like Google Drive or Dropbox, or you can simply use Loom to record the video and share the video link with us.
Once we hear back from you, we'll be able to move forward with a solution.

This new unique ID is inserted, deleted the old one. The index is restarted at 0037, however the calculated 'ID' field kept appearing as 0037 all the time, as shown in the new form filling and also in the spreadsheet data integrated with form, also shown as 0037 eventhough the unique ID run to 0039.

OK, I've replaced the calculated field 'ID' with short text field 'ID' and using condition, hope this solve the problem.
