How to update the file upload element in my old form?

Hi, I have a couple older forms that we've been using for forever for our business and I'd love to integrate the File Upload element into those forms. I received some assistance from your AI agent and it was really helpful, and it created a form template with a File Upload element that looked fantastic and was exactly what I wanted on our forms. When I went to our old forms and brought in the File Upload element, it was much smaller and looked outdated. Is there anyway to get that new element on those old forms? There is A LOT of conditions built into those forms, so I'd really prefer not to rebuild them if possible. Thanks!

The forms I'm referring to of ours are:

    • The Blasting Room - Mastering Form
    • The Blasting Room - Mastering Information Form (already started to edit this one)
    • The Blasting Room - Stem Mastering Form

The form that there AI Agent created for me as a template is called:

    • File Submission Form

All of those forms are in my account. Let me know if you have any questions or need anything else from me!

Hi, thanks for reaching out to us for help. I'm an AI assistant. I'll do my best to help you until someone from the support team is available.

The File Upload element on your older forms cannot be updated to the new style automatically without rebuilding the forms. However, you can clone the form that has the updated File Upload element and then transfer your conditions and other settings manually to avoid starting completely from scratch.

This approach helps preserve your existing form structure while allowing you to use the new File Upload element style.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

    Hi theblastingroom,

I cloned your form and tested it to see if I could replicate the issue, and I ran into the same result. Take a look at the screenshot below:

    Thanks for the response Jerlan!

I cloned my form to give it a shot and unfortunately I'm not seeing the option to "switch to the new theme" in the top right of my Build window, as seen in your screen cast. Below is a screen shot of what my screen looks like:

Any idea how I can get that option on my end?

    Hi theblastingroom,

Can you try to apply a new theme to your form through the form designer? Here's how to do it:

    1. Open your form in the Form Builder and click on the Form Designer icon.
    2. Go to the Themes tab.
    3. Hover over to Default theme and click the Use Theme button. This will immediately apply the theme to your form, updating the style of elements, including the File Upload field.

Your results look great, unfortunately I can't seem to replicate it on my end. Here is what is happening when I select "Use Theme."

It looks different, but obviously sort of just a different version of outdated, instead of the sleek File Upload UI in your example. Thanks for your help thus far! Hoping we can get to the bottom of this :)

    Hi theblastingroom,

I have reviewed the recordings and opened your actual form, and it looks like it was updated. Check out the screencast below:

Give it a try and let us know if you need any help.

You're totally right! Just redid the process and it seems I have to exit and come back for the changes to take place. Weird.

Regardless, I'm fully taken care of now and really appreciate your help with this!!

    Slightly different question now:

I just tried to apply this to our similar form "The Blasting Room - Mastering Form" and created a clone to make it happen. It all worked as before, but the only bummer part is that now the "Amount Due" field is no longer at the bottom of the screen and formatted to remain stationary so it's always showing how much the selections will cost. This function is imperative for this form, so is there anyway you can help me rebuild this with the new template? When I tried copying the CSS from the other form it was super wonky.
