    Hello,

Thanks for reaching out — I understand how important it is for your employees to be able to save and continue without needing to create an account.

To allow users to save their progress without logging in, you’ll need to do two things:

    1. Set your form access to "Public"
    2. Make sure the “Save and Continue Later” button uses the public share link, not the “Assign Form” option

If you used Quick Share > Invite by Email or the Assign Form feature, it will require users to log in.

    Instead, try this:

    • Go to Publish > Quick Share
    • Copy the Public Form URL
    • Share that link with your users directly — they can save their progress without logging in

Please let me know if that works or if you need help testing it out!

im guessing the highlighted link is the link you mean. its the exact same link as the one behind the "COPYLINK" button and gives the same result. eitherlog in with google or sign up.

    Hi Andrew,

Using the Save and Continue Forms Later feature, or the Save button in your form will prompt a sign up for your users. This is normal, but this can be skipped using the Skip Create An Account button. Check out the screenshot below showing this:

    Hi Andrew619,

Currently, the Save and Continue Later feature in Jotform requires users to either create an account or log in to save their progress securely. However, there is an option to skip the account creation step by clicking the "Skip Create An Account" button, which can make the process easier for your employees.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to completely remove the sign-up or login step for saving progress because the system needs to securely associate saved data with a user. This is designed to protect the form data and ensure that only the right person can access their saved submission.

I recommend giving a heads-up to your employee to just click the Skip Create An Account to continue and save the draft form.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

    Hi Jerlan,

thank you for your reply. I dont have any issues with employees joining so the process for receiving reopen links is smoother. i beleive that if they have signed up when they select the save option a reopen link will be automatically sent to their email.. is that correct?

    Also

My concern was if they join are they going to be bombarded with requests to pay for a subscription?

    Hi Andrew,

When users save their progress after signing up or logging in, Jotform automatically sends a link to the email address they used to register. This allows them to return and continue filling out the form later without losing their data.

Creating an account on Jotform and saving their form progress does not require immediate payment information, and subscription upgrade only occur if the user decides to upgrade to a paid plan or use payment forms.
