Using form for RSVPs: Interest in pre-populating data from a spreadsheet/document based on responce

Hello - I discovered Jotform for my wedding planning and I really love it. I am planning to use it to collect RSVP responses. One thing I was interested in that some wedding website companies offer is the ability to populate a guest's party information based on provided data. For example, if I wanted to RSVP for myself and my significant other, when I type in my name as a response, my significant other's name populates as well so I can respond regarding their attendance as well, rather than writing in all guests associated with my party. This way, people cannot RSVP by adding a name of someone who was not invited (although write-in options for plus one's can also be helpful if that's possible too). Some websites do this by importing a CSV file or Excel file.

Is this something Jotform is capable of doing in some way?

    Thanks

    Hello,

You can use pre-filling form fields with URLs, so you can:

    • Import your guest list into a spreadsheet (with party members grouped).
    • Create individual, unique links per primary guest that auto-fills their name and their party member names.
    • Send these unique URLs directly to guests via email.

I hope this helps, have a great day!
