How to populate Date and Time field with Current date and time?

using the spreadsheet on the form to auto complete the form fields, how can I also make sure that the 'Date & Time' field is also get auto completed with the current date and time?

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. The Spreadsheet to Form widget cannot populate the Date and Time field with the current time; it will only populate using the data that it has on the form. However, the Date and Time field in Jotform has a built-in feature to automatically use the current date and time when the form is accessed. It is very easy to use. Let me show you how:

1. In Form Builder, select the Date field and click the Gear icon.

2. Under the Options tab, select the Current as the Default Date.

The same instructions are applicable for the Time field. Doing this allows both fields to populate the current date and time. See the screenshot below for the results:

I am using the reset field when invalid option under the 'Unique key' field that am using to auto ppulate the fields with the data from the database. So, what happens is that when the reset is being made it also happens on data & time that I have set to default current - I want to make sure that the data & time fields does not get affected when the reset happens on the any other fields, how can I achieve that ?

I would suggest not including the Date and time field in your Excel file that you've uploaded in your Spreadsheet to form widget. Checkout the screencast below:

will the option suggested above, allow me at some point to manually fill in date and time ?

Since the date is set to current, I'm afraid it is not possible to manually fill in the date and time. The only way to manually fill in the date and time would be to set the default date to None, instead of current.
