I created and merged my previous form with success - works great. Now adding a second form, my imported pdf is returning a "Something went wrong" message as shown in the screenshot. I am using the "Input Table" element with multiple rows (23) and columns (20) as shown in the imported pdf. I am hoping that the field mapping will still work. Please advise.

Hi Larry,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Smart PDF Forms allow you to convert your PDF into an online form and map form fields to the PDF. When you add an Input Table element with multiple rows and columns, the system should support mapping these fields to your PDF. However, sometimes the import process may encounter issues if the PDF is complex or the Input Table has many rows (23) and columns (20).
To resolve this:
- Check the PDF size and complexity: Smart PDF Forms accept up to 25 pages for Starter, Bronze, and Silver plans, and up to 50 pages for Gold and Enterprise plans. If your PDF exceeds this, it may cause errors.
- Manually adjust field mapping: After importing, you can manually adjust the field connections. Online form fields added will appear as green boxes on the PDF, which you can drag and resize to match your PDF layout.
- Input Table element specifics: The Input Table supports multi-type columns (Single Choice, Checkbox, Textbox, Dropdown). You can configure these in the Input Table properties under the Fields tab. Ensure your Input Table columns are set correctly to match your PDF fields.
- Editing the original PDF: If you need to fix or simplify your PDF, use external PDF editors like Adobe Acrobat, then re-upload the updated PDF to Smart PDF Forms. This can help avoid import errors.
If the error persists, try simplifying the Input Table or breaking your PDF into smaller sections and importing them separately.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

I have added all of my fields to the form, but I cannot "connect" them to my imported pdf.

I believe my input table is pretty simple. Not a large amount of data. The pdf connection is not functioning. I have re-imported the pdf as well

Hi Larry,
I just viewed your form, and I see that the PDF document is already working. I also cloned it, and it also works. Here's a screenshot of my test:
Can you go ahead and try it again and let us know how it goes?
