Hello! I am writing to find out if there is a function in jotform that would allow me to put a time component on workflow steps. I would like to be able to schedule certain things 5 days after one of the steps but can't seem to find out how to do this.
Thanks,
Lisa

Hi Lisa,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I understand that you need to delay a workflow step before it goes to the next process. To achieve this, we can use the Automatically Finish Task feature in an Approval element. We can add an Approval element in between the workflow steps that you want to delay.
In the example below, let's assume you want to only assign the next Approval 5 days after the first approver approved the submission. In this demo, we'll insert another Approval element between the two Approval elements. You can add a dummy email address as an assignee on this Approval element:
Then, in the Approval element assigned to a dummy email, we'll enable the Automatically Finish the Task feature. Let's do it:
- In the Workflow Builder, click on the Gear icon next to the Approval element.
- In the menu, go to Advanced.
- Scroll down and toggle on the button beside Automatically Finish the Task.
- Set the Due Date Autofinish as seen on the screenshot below.
Let us know if there's anything else we can help you with.
