Product Order Keeps Changing

Despite setting a specific order for our products, Jotform continues to automatically rearrange them. We've adjusted things back multiple, multiple, multiple times... But the changes don't seem to hold, and the list keeps reverting or shuffling unexpectedly.

Please advise on how to lock the product order or help resolve this issue.

    Hi Courtney Lorenz,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant. I'll do my best to help you until someone from the support team is available.

Regarding the product order issue, Jotform does not have a built-in feature to permanently lock product order in payment fields, which can cause the list to revert or shuffle after edits. To maintain a specific order, you may need to carefully manage product entries and avoid rearranging or adding new products frequently.

If the problem persists, consider exporting your form and re-importing it or rebuilding the product list to reset the order. Also, ensure that no integrations or scripts are modifying the product list dynamically.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Hi Courtney,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We understand how important it is to maintain a specific order for your products, and we recognize how frustrating it can be when changes do not persist as expected. Based on similar reports, this issue may stem from how the Product List element behaves under certain conditions, such as automatic sorting or layout inconsistencies.

In some cases, product order may be unintentionally altered by toggling between different layouts (e.g., grid vs. list view) or when using categories within the Product List. We recommend recreating the Product List from scratch if possible, and avoiding changes to layout settings once the desired product order is established.

Reach out again if you have any other questions.
