AI Agent: Ability to customize the initial greeting on AI Phone Agent

    Jotform Support Team,

    I've recently activated the AI Phone Agent and been assigned a number. However, I’ve noticed that when someone calls, the initial greeting begins with “I am an AI agent,” which comes across as off-putting and not aligned with the professional image we want to convey to our clients.

    I’d prefer a more customised or neutral greeting that feels more human and brand-appropriate.

    Additionally, I’ve reviewed your training video which shows a “Voice Settings” option, but I’m unable to locate that in my dashboard. I’d like to know:

    • Whether the voice greeting can be customised or changed
    • If this setting is available in my plan or coming soon

    Could you please advise how to remove or modify the AI intro and whether those video features are available to me?

    Hi Koste1,

    Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Currently, when you create an AI Phone Agent with Jotform, it comes with a default phone answering capability that includes the initial greeting starting with I am an AI agent. At this time, the option to customize or change this voice greeting is not available in the dashboard, which is why you are unable to locate the Voice Settings option shown in the training video.

    The voice greeting customization feature is not yet available in your plan or dashboard, but may be considered for future updates. For now, the AI Phone Agent operates with the default intro message as part of its standard functionality.

    Thanks for reaching out! I'm one of the developers working on Jotform's AI voice agents, and I'm excited to share some new improvements we've made to address the initial disclaimer message at the beginning of phone calls.

    While we can't completely remove the disclaimer due to legal requirements, we've made some significant enhancements based on user feedback:

    • Voice matching: The disclaimer now uses your AI agent's selected voice instead of the robotic voice we used previously
    • White labeling: When you purchase a phone number for your AI agent, the disclaimer no longer includes Jotform branding

    These changes should create a much more seamless and professional experience for your callers.
