Voice Recorder Widget: Set Voice Recording Time More Than 3 Minutes

When was this imposed? Can it be removed for our form because collecting 5-minute voice recordings is its entire purpose.

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. The 3-minute voice recorder limit is a default setting in the Voice Recorder widget. However, you can adjust the recording limit in the widget settings to allow longer recordings, such as 5 minutes, which suits your form's purpose.

Let me show you how:

1. Open your form in Form Builder.
2. Click on the Voice Recorder widget in your form.
3. Access the widget settings and adjust the Recording Limit to 5 minutes or your desired length.
4. Save the changes by clicking Update Widget.

This will remove the 3-minute limit for your form's voice recordings.

180 second limit cannot be increased

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Unfortunately, currently the maximum limit for the Voice Recorder widget is 3 minutes. I've gone ahead and escalated this as a feature request to our developers. Exactly when or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users also request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.
