Jotform Prefill Inquiry

Can you prefill forms with longer texts that have empty spaces and line breaks? If yes then I'm gonna be your customer

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Yes, what you want to do is possible using our Jotform Prefill feature and using the Long Text field on the form. Let me show you how:

1. While in Form Builder, click on Add Element on the left side of the page.
2. In the Add Element menu, under the Basic tab, scroll down the list and choose the Long Text field.
3. Also, the Long Text field has a Rich Text feature. If you want this kind of Long Text field, you can click the Gear icon of the field.
4. Then go to the Options tab and select Rich Text under the Editor Mode section.

Next is setting up the Jotform Prefill. Let's do this:

1. In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the screen, click on Publish.

2. Click on Prefill on the left side of the screen.

3. Click the Add a New Prefill button.

4. Add the prefilled data that you want.

5. Click the Create button at the upper right side of the page once you're done, or you can directly send this prefilled form to the user by clicking the Send Invitation button.

Currently, it's not possible to prefill the form via API. As a workaround, you can follow the guide Anna shared for Manual Prefill or you can explore other ways to prefill such as:
