Hello friends,
My need is similar to the request in this inquiry. I don't see that a complete response was made to this inquiry, so I will ask a similar question.
I want to make a form that asks the respondent a series of questions about their technology problems, needs, and wish list. When the form is complete, I would like to send the respondent a PDF that gives responses tailored to the answer that person gave to each question.
For example, a question that asks, "Do you regularly back up your PC?" can have three answers: "Yes," "No," and "I don't know what that means." If the respondent answers "No," the PDF would provide an explanation of the risks of not backing up. If the respondent answers "Yes," the PDF would confirm this is a good practice. If the respondent answers "I don't know what that means," the PDF would explain how PC backups work.
Is this kind of conditional logic available in the design of a PDF template?
Cheers.

Hi Zagaeski,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Yes, Jotform allows you to create forms with conditional logic that can generate different PDF documents based on the respondent's answers. You can create multiple PDF documents in the PDF Editor, and then customize each PDF document in the PDF Editor. Then you can add Autoresponder Emails for each PDF document and then attach the PDF documents with each Autoresponder Email. Then you can set up Change Email Recipient conditions to conditionally sent the PDF documents. Let me walk you through it:
1. Open your form in Form Builder, click on the Downward Arrow icon, next to Jotform Logo, and then click on PDF Editor.
2. In the PDF Editor, click on the New PDF tab, located at the left top of the screen, and then select Use Default Layout.
1. In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Settings.
2. In the menu that appears on the left side of the screen, click on Emails.
4. Now, toggle ON Attach PDF, select the corresponding PDF document, and then click on Save.
5. Repeat the above steps to create Autoresponder Emails, and add PDF documents.
1. In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Settings.
2. In the menu that appears on the left side of the screen, click on Conditions, and then select Change Email Recipient.
This setup allows you to send personalized PDF reports based on each respondent's answers, just like you described.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
