Calendly Integration: Submission issue

The problem with this is that when you finish and 'schedule' with Calendly it comes back and says you're all scheduled, but if you don't then hit the submit button all of the form information is lost. The somehow need to be tied together so hitting one button both completes the scheduling and submits the information.

    Hi Robert,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. If I understand you correctly, you're using the Calendly widget in your form and noticed that after a user schedules an appointment, they still need to click the Submit button to complete the form. Otherwise, all the information gets lost. You're hoping to have the scheduling and form submission happen together in a single step.

To clarify, the Calendly widget in Jotform only embeds the Calendly scheduling tool. It doesn't automatically submit the form once the scheduling is done. This means the user must still manually submit the form after completing their Calendly booking. At this time, there's no built-in way to link the Calendly confirmation directly to the form's Submit action.

To help us find a workaround for your use case, could you confirm a few details:

    • Are you using the embedded form on an external website or sharing the Jotform link directly?
    • Would a workaround that hides the Submit button until Calendly is completed help, or are you looking for a full automation where scheduling equals submission?

After we hear back from you, we’ll have a better idea of what’s going on and how to help.

You are correct. I was looking at using the Calendly widget, but the user must still manually submit the form after completing their Calendly booking.

It's confusing for someone completing the form because we're using this particular jot form to schedule jobs. The customer fills out what they need to have done and then picks a time using Calendly. But as soon as you pick a time, Calendly comes back and says "You're scheduled."

So if I'm a customer, I think I'm all done and will totally miss the submit button. Thus, I as owner, don't get any of the job information.

    Hi Robert,

I understand that after scheduling an appointment through Calendly, users are required to manually click the Submit button to ensure that their form information is not lost. This can indeed be confusing for users, especially when they receive confirmation that they are scheduled.

Currently, the Calendly widget does not support automatic form submission upon scheduling. Therefore, users must complete both actions separately. One possible workaround, as suggested by my colleague, is to hide the Submit button until the Calendly scheduling is completed. This way, users will be prompted to submit their form only after they have successfully scheduled their appointment.

Let us know if you have any other questions.
