    Hello,

I have to build a mobile app for a restaurant.

Ordering food for delivery, take-away and table reservantion. The question is, does Jotform have the live accept or refuse order feature? Can they, during service hours accept or refuse orders live?

    Best regards.

    Claude

    Hi Claude,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Can you tell us what you meant by live accept or reject feature? Do you want your customers to see their orders and cancel them instantly? Or do you want to accept or reject the order instantly after they submit the form? Can you explain a bit more about it, so I can get a better idea of what you'd like to do?

Once we hear back from you, we'll be able to move forward with a solution.

    Hello,

I mean, when the customer orders some food that the restaurant owner can immediately accept the order. So that the customer receives a message that the order is accepted. This during the service hours.

    Hi Claude,

Unfortunately, it's not possible to accept or reject the order from the app itself. As a workaround, you can create a form first with product lists and add workflow on that form, and then you can convert that form to an App. You can create a payment form easily and collect your payments. Collecting payments via Jotform is very easy, all you have to do is create a form and integrate it with one of the 40+ Payment Gateways that Jotform provides. Let me show you how:

First, create a form, product list and integrate payment gateway:

    1. On your My Forms page, click on Create Form, and then select Start From Scratch.
    2. Now, select the Classic Form layout, and your form will be created.

    1. In Form Builder, click on the Add Form Element menu on the top-left side of the page.
    2. Add the fields that you want to have on your form, and then click on the Payments tab.
    3. Click on a Payment Gateway, and then click on Connect in the menu on the right side of the screen.
    4. Once you connect your account in the window that opens, you'll be ready to collect payments through your form.

Second, create a workflow on the form:

    1. In Form Builder, go to Settings tab in the orange navigation bar at the top.

    2. Click on Workflows tab in the menu on the left and click on + Create Workflow.

    3. Now, click on Add Element on the left and click on Approval element from the list and add it to your workflow.

    4. Then, click on Email element and add two Email elements in the workflow.

    5. Now, click on Envelop icon beside the Email element and configure your Approval or Deny email.

    6. Click on Gear icon beside the Approval element and enter the Approver email under the Approvers box. So, when your customer submits the form, it will send an email to the approver you've assigned.

    7. Click on Add Element again and click on End element and connect both of the emails with this element. This will complete the flow.

You can approve or deny the request form the email or the Jotform mobile apps. You can check out this guide about What is Jotform Workflows for more information.

Finally, create an App with this form:

    1. In Form Builder, go to Publish tab in the orange navigation bar at the top.

    2. Click on Quick Share tab in the menu on the left and scroll down to Create App section.

    3. Now, click on Create App button to convert your form to an app.

That's it. You can check out this guide about How to Turn Your Form Into a Mobile App for more information. Now, when your customer places an order from your app, you will get an email to approve or deny the request from the Jotform mobile app or the email. You can check out this Demo form that I created. Also, you can Clone this form. If that’s not exactly what you’re looking for, can you explain a bit more so I can help you better?

Give it a try and let us know if you need any help.
