Jotform is not accepting uploaded files

We created a form that includes a field for uploads. Jotforms sent us to uploadcare.com to create an account and get an API key.

We received a notification that the uploadcare.com account is good for 14 days.

    Questions

Why does Jotforms not accept the uploaded data?

Where does the uploaded data reside when the customer completes the form?

Do we have to maintain an account at uploadcare.com?

Is there any option to keep the uploads in Jotform?

    Thank you.

    Hi David,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I've cloned your form and tested it, but I was able to send the uploaded file to my Uploadcare account. Check out my screenshot below:

Note that after 14 days, you need to upgrade to any of their plans to be able to continue using it.  You can find out more details about Uploadcare plans here. If you want, you can use our File Upload field. This will also let you collect any files such as documents, images or other media directly through your forms. Let me walk you through this:

    1. In Form Builder, click on Add Element on the left side of the page.
    2. From the Basic tab, select File Upload. Jotform is not accepting uploaded files Image 4 Screenshot 93
    3. Click on the Gear icon of the File Upload element and enter your preferred Field Label.
    4. From the Options tab, you can set your preferred file size and file types.
    5. From the Multiple tab, toggle Limit Number of Files and enter the number of files that users can upload. Jotform is not accepting uploaded files Image 5 Screenshot 104

To learn more, you can check out our guide on How to Create File Upload Forms. As for your question regarding where to view the uploaded files when the customer completes the form, I've moved that to a new thread and will be helping you our here.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

So to be clear we are REQUIRED to use Uploadcare.com to acquire uploads in forms. Correct?

    Hi David,

If you'll be using the File Uploader by Uploadcare widget for more than 14 days, then you'll need to subscribe to their paid plans. Again, you can use our File Upload field. You can follow the guide I've given above on how to add that in your form.

Reach out again if you need any other help.
