Workflow: Action Button for Approvals Resets to Default for Reminder Emails

On Friday we had an internet outage. So approvals on submissions did not happen. The reminder emails came through on Saturday but did not have the same choices. The original gives the recipient 3 choices, these choices have different workflows associated them. The follow up emails do not have these three choices.

Should the follow up emails be formatted the same as the original approval emails?

    Hi VRFServices,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I understand that the action buttons for approval reset to the default action when it's a reminder email. Does this issue occur with all reminder emails? Also, when you click on Go to Inbox, could you check which actions are displayed?

Once we hear back from you, we'll be able to help you with this.

    Hi VRFServices,

I checked your Approval Workflow, and I noticed that you have not modified your Reminder Email. Keep in mind that by default, the approval actions will only be Approved or Denied and Go to Inbox. This is why when the Reminder Emails are sent, it shows only the Approved or Denied and Go to Inbox buttons. To fix this, you need to modify the action buttons for your Reminder Email. Here's how:

    1. In Workflow Builder, click the gear icon of the Approval element to open Properties.
    2. Go to the Advanced tab, then scroll down, and click the Edit button of the Reminder Email.
    3. Next, remove the Default actions button, then click the eye icon at the right corner of the pop-up window.
    4. Lastly, select all the 3 outcomes, then click Save.
