Is there a widget that will convert an image to text?

Hi, We want to do an inventory of all our thousands of vending machines. Instead of writing down all the serial numbers....we would like to use a jot form to fill out the machine location and take a pic of the serial # stickers and then have pics convert to text.

Is this possible?

I'm afraid that we do not have a widget that will convert to text, we do have a widget that will help you taking pictures, here is the link: https://www.jotform.com/widgets/take-photo 

We may also open a feature request for this, although we cannot provide an ETA, we would keep you updated via this thread, let us know if you would like the feature to be opened.

Great news, we've implemented the OCR Autofill widget you asked for. This widget lets respondents take a photo or upload a file, then uses AI to extract matching details and populate supported fields automatically. Additionally, adding it to your form takes just a few seconds.

Open the Form Builder and follow these steps:

1. Click Add Element on the left panel.

2. Navigate to the Widgets tab.

3. Search for OCR Autofill.

4. Click the widget to add it to your form automatically.

• Once added, the OCR Autofill widget can sit alongside regular form fields. In this example, it is used in a sample Business Card Registration form with fields such as Full Name, Company, Email Address, and Phone Number.
