Hello,
the E-mail Validator is really very useful, easy to use and well done.
But I have a problem: the e-mail that the person receives with the verification code is not formatted. In the sense that the body of the message he receives is all on one line even though in ‘Widget Settings > Email Content’ the text is on several lines.
I have also tried putting the HTML code
but it doesn't work.Is there any way? Am I doing something wrong?
Thank you and best regards, Francesco

Hi Francesco,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I cloned your form and tested it to see if I could replicate the issue, but the verification code sent to my email was sent with the information message you configured in the widget settings. Take a look at the screenshot below to see the email I received:
Can you explain a bit more about the issue, so I can get a better idea of what's happening? If you can take a screenshot of what’s happening, that will help us to better understand what’s going on. Let me show you how to post a screenshot to our Support Forum:
1. On the Support Forum page, scroll down to the Your Answer section and click on the Image icon.
2. Drag and drop your image into the Upload box, or click on it and select your file.
3. Then, click on the Add button in the bottom-right corner of the window.
4. To resize it, click on your screenshot and then click on one of the boxes in the corners, and drag it inward.
5. Once you're finished, click on the Post Answer button at the bottom right of the Your Answer section.

Unfortunately, my level of English is miserable - I use DeepL to translate and, some things, it cannot translate correctly.
However, this is not a problem with the form per se, but a formatting problem in the email the person receives. As you can also see from the screenshot you took, all the text in the email is on the same line, without the text going on a new line after a full stop (starting a new paragraph? starting a new line?).
I have tried adding HTML code to the text in ‘Widget Settings > Email Content’ (as per the attached screenshot), but this does not solve the problem.

PS: Now, every time I try to enter the verification code in the form I get the message ‘Error: Invalid code!’ despite the code being correct!

Hi Francesco,
I understand the issue, but I’ll need a bit of time to check on this.
I’ll get back to you shortly.

Thank you, I look forward to your reply.
The link to the form, if you need it, is this one (in the meantime I have made a copy to use with another widget): https://form.jotform.com/243497753842368

Hi Francesco,
Unfortunately, there is no option to format the email content using HTML. While the feature you’re looking for isn’t currently available at Jotform right now, we've gone ahead and escalated your request to our Developers. Exactly when or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users also request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.
I tested also the email validator, and you need to add space for the code part to be shown properly in the email content. This would prevent the invalid code error as you may have copied the incorrect code. Check out this screenshot of my test:
Let us know if there’s anything else we can help you with.

Hi Richie,
I don't know why, but everything works perfectly now: both the validation of the email and the formatting of the text in the email. A mystery 😂!
Thank you very much for your help and happy holidays,
Francesco
