Is there a way to show preferential appointment availability first?
For example, if a patient selects an 830AM appointment, can the available slots show appointments close to that 830AM slot rather than letting a patient book a 230PM one for example, in an effort to improve efficiency and not too many gaps in between?

Hi Mo Ali,
Unfortunately, Appointment field doesn’t have a built-in way to prioritize or highlight appointment slots based on how close they are to a preferred time. But as a workaround, you can use a Dropdown and Single Choice field where patients can select their preferred appointment time. Then, based on their selection, show only the slots that are closest to their selected time using conditional logic. Let me show you how:
1. In Form Builder, click on the Add Element menu on the left side of the page.
2. Under the Basic tab, scroll down to Dropdown, and drag and drop a Dropdown element to your form.
3. Click the Gear icon on the Dropdown field to open Properties. Under the Options tab, type your Time Availability in the Options box.
4. While Form Elements menu on the left side of the page is still open, drag and drop a Single Choice element to your form.
5. Click the Gear icon on the Single Choice field to open Properties. Under the Options tab, type the time based on the options in the Dropdown field.
6. Then, under the Advanced tab scroll down and toggle on Hide Field.
Now, let's create Show/Hide Field conditions. Let's do it:
1. In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the screen, click on Settings.
2. Click on Conditions on the left side of the screen.
3. Now, click on Add a New Condition and then click on Show/Hide Field.
4. Set the conditions like you see below and click on Save.
While the feature you're looking for isn't available at Jotform right now, we've gone ahead and escalated your request to our developers. Exactly when or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users also request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.
Thanks for your patience and understanding, we appreciate it.
