    Hello-

I see this has been a question before but have not found a successful solution. Is it possible to restrict a numeric entry from using commas instead of decimals? The masked input option which we current have set up does not really work for us since the output to excel results in a 'text' cell instead of a number cell. Validation does not seem to catch commas as an error in either a number box or a short text entry.

Any ideas? We are just trying to prevent the entries having both commas or decimals which messes up the excel output as well. At this point it is a choice between formatting all the cells in question to 'text' or fixing all the commas by hand.

    Thanks!

Thank you for contacting us. Could you confirm if this is the form in question? https://www.jotform.com/193467135320152

I have cloned it, but cannot identify the numeric entry. Do you want the decimal separator to be a dot or a comma? You can change that option in advanced options of the Form Calculation widget:

If that is not the field that you are using, please specify which one is, we will be glad to assist you.
