Are Coupons Regulated on a Per-user Basis?

Hello Jotform Team,

I see that when enabling coupons, there are 2 limits: an expiration date and a number of uses. Can you tell me, when selecting the number of uses option does that number of uses apply to 1 unique user or to all users? That is, will every unique user be able to use the coupon the amount which I enter? Or, does that mean any user (repeat, or unique) can use the coupon up the number limit which I enter?

For reference, I would like all new customers to be able to use the coupon one time and then the code will no longer work for that unique user.

Once you select number of coupons, it will be for all users like you mentioned. You can achieve this by adding an Email field and a short text field based on a condition that will show the coupon that you copy-paste. Let me show you how to set it up:

1. In Form Builder, click on Add Form Elements, select and drag the Email element and Short text element into your form.

2. Click on Product List then select the Wand icon that's on the right side.

3. Then click on Coupons tab, copy the coupon code you see.

4. Click on Short text element's Gear icon that's on the right side.

5. Go to Advanced tab and paste the code into Default Value are.

Now let's set up the condition. Let me walk you through it:

1. In Form Builder in the orange navigation bar, click on Settings
2. Select Conditions.
3. Click on Show/Hide Field condition and set the conditions as you see below.

This way you'll have unique coupons each time you send the form to someone, but you have to copy and paste different coupon codes in order for the coupons to be unique.
