Woods Humane Society is a full-service humane society that has been serving San Luis Obispo County for nearly 70 years. They facilitate around 3,000 adoptions and 5,000 spay and neuter surgeries yearly — enriching their community and matching animals with loving homes each day.
“There are no bad days here at Woods Humane Society,” says CEO Emily L’Heureux. “We are either saving animals getting adopted into loving homes, or we’re welcoming animals that come from underserved shelters. There is never a bad moment because every single day means that we have saved lives.”
And with so many animals to match with perfect homes and the related paperwork to file, L’Heureux knew that Woods Humane Society needed a more efficient way to organize.
Previously, Woods Humane Society used physical papers to organize their adoptions. But with limitations imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the organization recognized how cumbersome their paper-based system had become and knew they had to try something different.
That’s when Woods Humane Society discovered Jotform.
“We found Jotform during the pandemic, and we were able to seamlessly move the majority of our adoption process entirely to online using Jotform’s forms,” L’Heureux says. “Jotform has allowed our staff to streamline our adoption process entirely, which means we have more time to spend with the animals.”
