How to collect signatures in Input Table?

We have some industry-specific forms that I have imported as SmartPDF and managed to get through 95% of the mapping, but there are a couple of sections where there is a table of information that must be completed for 1 or more entries that includes a signature.

At present it does not seem like there is any way to use an Input Table, Configurable List, or other similar widget to replicate this table in JotForm. Or am I missing something?

At present, it looks like I will have to create 10 copies of the fields in order to provide for the flexibility needed.

    Suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Dion

    Hi Addalineappservices,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform support. You would like to have a column for signatures, but we currently don't have the option to include a signature column within the input table. You can use the options shown in the image below:

    Hi Eduarda,

So no other options that could support signatures in some sort of table? (Input Table was just an example).

    Thanks,

    Dion

    Hi Dion,

Unfortunately, we don't support collecting signatures directly within a table field after uploading a PDF form. You can follow the workaround suggested by my colleague above, or you can use the Sign Document feature to collect signatures, as this will allow you to create a dedicated area for users to sign documents electronically. Let me show you how:

    1. On your My Forms page, click on the My Forms dropdown menu on the top-left side of the page.

    2. Click on Create Sign Document on the top-left side of the page.

    3. Select Upload File if you want to upload your own document, or select Use Template if you want to continue with a template.

We also have a guide on How to Use Jotform Sign that you can check out.

Give it a try and let us know if you need any other help.

    Hi Christian,

The document needs several signatures in several spots, by several people.

Looks like I will just break up that last table into multiple pages, one for each line, and tell the people filling it out to just "Next" through 7 pages to get to the end.

    Thanks,

    Hi Dion,

If you have a definite list of names that will need to sign the form, you can apply a conditional logic on your form which would Show/Hide page that's only assigned for them instead of going through all the pages.

    Hi addalineappservices,

Jotform's Conditions feature lets you show questions based on the answers that people gave. Let me show you how to set it up:

    1. On your My Forms page, hover your mouse over your form and click on Edit Form.

    2. In Form Builder, click on the Add Form Element menu and drag-drop the fields you want to use as follow-up questions (I used Short Text fields in this example).

    3. Click on the Type a Question text and change it to the question you want to use.

    4. Now, right-click on the fields, and in the menu that opens, click on Hide.

Now, let's set up the conditions:

    1. In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Settings.

    2. Click on Conditions on the left of the page.

    3. Now, click on Add a New Condition and then click on Show/Hide Field.

    4. Set the conditions like you see below:

Set up Conditions for all of the choices for your question. Check out the screencast below to see how your form will work after setting up the Conditions:

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Hi Cristy,

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, we don't know ahead of time which crew will be doing the work, so setting this up would likely not be feasible.

    Thanks though.

    Hi Dion,

I believe you uploaded this as a Smart PDF form correct? If you want to maximize the space of the form. You can set a smaller width for the field and set it to on shrink mode. Though it s not possible to put the signatures in a table, If the form is uploaded as a smart pdf, you can still map the signature fields on your original PDF regardless of the layout that you have.
