Connecting Google Sheets integration to my account

Hi, I just tried to connect the GOOGLE SHEETS integration to my account and it showed me an error message.

Now I don't know if it's really impossible to connect an integration directly with GOOGLE SHEETS because there could really be a glitch or because it's simply because I haven't made a paid subscription yet. I basically do see myself purchasing a paid subscription for this platform because after really many other platforms that I tried to work with I had a lot of glitches along the way, and here I was able to do things with a free subscription much better. The question is if I really purchase a paid subscription now, will it really open up access for me or will it continue to show that it's a technical glitch even after purchasing a subscription? (Because there might really be a technical glitch)

    Thanks!

    Hi Aviv,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Could you provide us with more details about the issue so that we can assist you with resolving it? I have cloned one of your form and tested integrating Google Sheet and I didn't encounter any issues as shown in the screen recording.

    Hi Aviv,

You are able to enter integrate your forms with Google Sheets under our Starter plan with no difficulties at all. I cleared your form's cache on my end as a form of basic troubleshooting. Clearing your form caches is one of the ways to refresh your forms. You can also try clearing your browser cache, these guides will show you how to do that: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Safari. After that, try integrating the form to Google Sheets once more. We have a guide about How to Integrate Forms With Google Sheets that you might also want to check out.

Reach out again if you need any more help.

To get started, log in to your Google Sheets account. Next, create your form, customize it to your liking, and integrate it to start collecting responses in Google Sheets today.

Could you share with us a screen recording on how you integrate Google Sheet into your form using Loom so that we can get a better understanding on how the issue occurs on your side? As for the guide link, could you try accessing the English guide by removing he as shown in the screenshot.

    Hi Aviv,

Could you try integrating the Google Sheet into your form via the Form Builder page instead of the Google Sheet page? Here's how to do it:

    1. In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the screen, click on Settings.

    2. Click on Integrations on the left side of the screen.

    3. Select Google Sheets.

    4. Select your Google account under Authentication.

    5. Select Use an existing spreadsheet.

    6. Click on the field under Spreadsheet name.

    7. Select an existing Spreadsheet.

    8. Click on Save.

So this time I changed the browser from GOOGLE CHROME to BRAVE in the hope that it would really solve the problem, but unfortunately it still causes problems and does not allow me to continue.

    Hi Aviv,

I accessed your account and created a Test Form to try to integrate it to Google Sheets, and I ran into the same issue, so I created a ticket and escalated it to our Developers. The error you are receiving results from insufficient authentication on your Google Account. Meaning that you have to either reauthenticate your personal computer/device/browser on your Google Account, or reauthenticate Jotform on your Google Account.

Another solution would be to make sure you have full access to the Google Sheets file you're trying to access. Check out this Google page for more information. You can also try to replicate the issue in incognito mode.

Give it a try and let us know if you need any other help.

You can reauthenticate your account by logging in again with your Google account by clicking on Use another account as shown in the screenshot.

Thank you very much, in good time I managed to bring the table from my GOOGLE SHEETS account, but there is another issue here now.

It now tells me under the file: There are no questions on your form.Add your first question

And it wants me to drag a question there. I didn't understand exactly how I can drag a question?

    Hi Aviv,

I have checked your form#250444089235053 which you are trying to integrate, and this form does not have any fields which is why you are getting this message. Once you have added the fields to this form, you can proceed with the integration, and it will show all the fields that are available on the form.

Give it a try and reach out again if you have any other questions.

    Hi Aviv,

You are working on this form when integrating Google Sheet, as shown in your screenshot.

If you review the form under the Build tab, it is empty and does not contain any fields, which is why you have encountered the message that you have pointed out as shown in the screenshot.

You can start building your form by adding form elements. Here's how to do it:

    1. In Form Builder, on the left side of the screen, click on Add Element.

    2. On the left panel, click/drag any elements to add into the form.

Once you have done adding the elements into your form, you will no longer encounter the message that you have pointed out on your screenshot.

    Hi!

I'll explain exactly what I want to do here.

I have a Google Sheets spreadsheet that I'm interested in integrating with your platform.

This spreadsheet consists of destination points that I prepared and I'm interested in integrating it and adding a map so that the destination points that I saved in Google Sheets will be visible on the world map!

I would appreciate help on this subject because what I did now that I followed the screenshots referred to in section 5 that you mentioned, the questionnaire that I already prepared on the JOTFORM platform itself and it is almost ready and that's not what I meant.

    I would appreciate help, please!

    Hi Aviv,

To clarify, do you want to display the information from Google Sheets to the form you created? Unfortunately, the Google Sheet integration available in Jotform is only used to that submitted information from your form will be transferred to the sheets that you have. If that’s not exactly what you’re looking for, can you explain a bit more so I can help you better?

Once we hear back from you, we'll be able to help you with this.

    Hi.

I have destination points saved in my Google Sheets account (I've uploaded a screenshot here now).

I've also just opened a map in JOTFORM, and I already have a questionnaire that's almost completely ready, and I actually want the destination points I added to the map to appear to the user after the user answers the questionnaire (not all the destination points I do and will do, but only according to the area the user has selected).

    Hi Aviv,

Are you trying to use the Google Sheets as a database and populate fields in the form based on the form user's answer? Keep in mind that the Google Sheets integration is a one way integration, meaning you can only send your data to your sheets. If you need something like a look-up tool, you can use the spreadsheet to form widget, which allows you to populate the form fields based on the uploaded file in the widget. If that's not exactly what you're looking for, you can provide us an example of what you're trying to achieve, so we can work on a solution.

Keep us updated and let us know if you need any more help.

    Hi.

    I'll explain again.

I built a questionnaire so that a user can answer it and understand from it what places he likes to see when he travels.

I have a list of destination points in Google Sheets that I saved so that according to the answers the user answered, he can get the relevant destination points (depending on which region or country he chose) that I specified in Google Sheets that I want to connect to the map and as soon as the questionnaire ends, the map will show him the destination points that I saved in Google Sheets.

For example, the user wants to travel, for example, in the USA, in New York. Now I'm giving an example as if all the destination points I listed above that I marked in red are in New York, USA (not really all of them from there, but just to illustrate an example). I now want these points to appear on the map of the application in JOTFORM and display these points to the user.
