Missing Attachments Toggle in Salesforce Integration Setup

    3. In following the directions in the help page, it shows that I should have an Attachments toggle. But I don't have this available to me. Does this need to be enabled somewhere? We are getting files with the forms.

    Hi Corrine,

It seems that the Attachments toggle is missing from your setup compared to the help documentation. This feature's availability may depend on the version of the Salesforce integration you are using or your Jotform plan. First, ensure that your Jotform account supports file attachment features, as these may be available only on certain paid plans. If your account meets the requirements, try removing and re-adding the Salesforce integration to ensure you are using the latest version. Additionally, confirm that your form includes a file upload field, as the Attachments option is typically enabled when this field is present and properly mapped in the integration settings.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

What is a "version of Salesforce integration"? I can check on the version of JotForm we are using and see if that is supported.

    Hi Corrine,

The Salesforce integration version refers to the specific release that defines supported features and functionality. Newer versions offer enhanced features and better performance. Keeping it up to date ensures optimal performance and access to new features.

When I created and tested a demo form, everything worked the way it was supposed to. Take a look at the screenshot below to see my results:Missing Attachments Toggle in Salesforce Integration Setup Image 1 Screenshot 20To resolve this, I suggest reintegrating your Salesforce by deleting it and then adding it back. We have a guide about How to Integrate Jotform With Salesforce that you can check out.

Give it a try and reach out again if you have any other questions.

I only just set up the integration last week.

Who can tell me if my version of the plan includes attachments? We are on the free starter version. I cannot find anywhere on the website where it states that attachments are not available.

    Hi Corrine,

Additionally, I've checked your form and integration settings. Try checking the integration settings, as attachments are available only with the Create Record option, not with Find Existing Record. Take a look at the screenshot below to see my results:

Oh, that's interesting. You said "attachments are available only with the Create Record option, not with Find Existing Record". I would consider that a bug. How do we get that on a list for potential fixes?

    Hi Corrine,

Yes, attachments is only available with Create Record option. I cloned and tested your form with Find Existing Record, and attachment option is not feasible. Take a look at the screenshot below to see my results: Missing Attachments Toggle in Salesforce Integration Setup Image 1 Screenshot 20

Reach out again if there’s anything else we can help you with.

Thank you so much for this! I will redo it and see if I can get this to work.

Can this be submitted as a bug? I would expect a form to be able to attach regardless of it being a new or existing record.

    Hi Corrine,

Once you’ve tested the suggestion and if the issue persists, where the form fails to attach to records regardless of them being new or existing, please let us know. If the issue remains, we can escalate it to our development team as a potential bug. Also, feel free to share any additional details that we can add to the report for possible escalation.

Keep us updated and let us know how it goes.

That's okay. I don't believe you understood my point. Why would I only want to attach something if it is creating a new record? Wouldn't I want to also attach a document to an existing record?

    Hi Corrine,

Attaching a file to an Existing record isn't available at Jotform right now, we've gone ahead and escalated your request to our developers. Exactly when or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users also request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, we appreciate it.
