How this list was tested and selected 

As a business owner, I’ve tried out a few AI meeting assistants over the years. But for this piece, I came up with a list of 40 options from the best AI meeting assistants listed on G2. Then, I narrowed it down to 18 tools based on real user reviews and community threads on Reddit.

For each tool, I created an account, connected my calendar (or downloaded the desktop app), and tested it across Zoom, Google Meet, and Teams, both in client meetings and solo sessions. I prioritized tools with a smooth signup flow, a clean user interface, and reasonably accurate transcripts (because no AI notetaker is flawless).
