### HIPAAとは何ですか？ 

HIPAAとは、1996年に制定された医療保険の相互運用性と説明責任に関する法律（Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act）の略称です。米国の法律であり、患者の医療情報に誰がアクセスできるか、またその情報をどのように共有できるかについて厳格な規制を定めています。
