pabloricoHola. /
Como puedo vincular en una lista desplegable, donde la informacion viene de un archivo o una base de datos. -
Rene Jotform SupportHi pablorico,
Our Spanish Support agents are busy helping other Jotform users right now, so I'll try to help you in English using Google Translate, but you can reply in whichever language you feel comfortable using. Or, if you'd rather have support in Spanish, let us know and we can have them do that. But, it might take a while until they're available again.
Now, coming back to your question, do you mean you want to automatically populate the data to the other field once a user selects an option from a dropdown field? If so, this can be possible using the spreadsheet to form widget. Can you please check the screencast below and confirm if that's what you're planning to make:
Here's the link to my demo form that you can test and clone. however, if that's not exactly what you're trying to achieve, can you please explain it a little bit more so that we can assist you better?
Let us know if there's anything else we can help you with.

Jotform Support Former Jotform SupportHi pablorico,
Unfortunately, we don't have a feature yet that will auto-update the Dropdown options. The closest widget we have that does something similar is the Spreadsheet to Form Widget. While the feature you’re looking for isn’t currently available, rest assured we’re always working to add new services and features to Jotform. I've gone ahead and escalated your request to our Developers. When or if it's implemented depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.
Reach out again if there’s anything else we can do for you.

Alara Jotform Data ScientistHello,
Happy to share that we've implemented the Reusable Dropdown widget you asked for. It connects a dropdown field to a Jotform Table, so you can manage the options in one place and reuse the same list across multiple forms.
Open the Form Builder and follow these steps:
- Click Add Element on the left panel.
- Open the Widgets tab.
- Search for Reusable Dropdown.
- Click the widget to add it to your form. The widget settings panel will open automatically on the right.

After it is added, use the Widget Settings panel to choose where the dropdown options should come from. Click Create Table if you want to build a new source table for this dropdown.

In the new table, add the values you want respondents to choose from.

When the table is connected, the settings panel shows it under Connected Table. You can view the connected table or switch to a different one at any time.

To connect an existing table instead, click Change Table, select the table you want to use, and click Add.

If the selected table is private, Jotform will ask you to make it public before it can be used as the dropdown source. Confirm this only for the table you want the widget to read from.

Next if your table has multiple columns, choose the Dropdown Column. This is the exact column whose values will appear as the dropdown options on the form.

Finally, preview the form to confirm the dropdown displays the connected table values correctly for respondents.

We hope this widget proves useful. Please feel free to try it out and let us know your thoughts.
Best,
