ccfdowntownHi Support,
We had an event yesterday and a horrible thing happened in our Admission Form. During the event, we assigned around 6 users in the admission table to admit the participants. At first, the admission submissions are going well until after some time where captcha keeps on coming up whenever they submit the form. We have not included any captchas in the form. This has greatly affected our turnaround time during the admission.
We just implement unique field check just to avoid duplicate admissions, that's it. How can we avoid this to happen in our future events?
Thanks,

Podo: Support SpecialistHi True,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant here to assist you.
The CAPTCHA is a security measure implemented to help protect your forms from spam submissions and ensure the safety and security of our platform. It may appear when there’s a high volume of submissions within a short period of time or when our system detects unusual or suspicious activity. These automatic triggers are part of Jotform’s built-in anti-spam protection and should return to normal after a while.
If you add a CAPTCHA to your form, the automatic one won’t appear anymore. Let me show you how to add it for your future events:
- In Form Builder, click on the Add Element menu on the left side of the page.
- Under the Basic tab, drag and drop the Captcha element to your form.
- Then, click on the Gear icon next to the Captcha field and select a Captcha Type in the menu on the right.
You can also check our guide about How to Add a CAPTCHA to Your Form to learn more. If you don't want any CAPTCHAs to appear on your form, and you are open to verifying your account by filling out the User Verification Form in the Data section of your Account Settings, our support team may redirect your request to the related team to see how else we can help. Once the verification process is successfully completed, we can look into reducing the security measures for your account, including the CAPTCHA.Reach out again if you need any other help.

ccfdowntownDear Support,
But we are expecting a surge of participants coming during our event. Do you mean Jotform is not the best tool for an admission form?
Thanks,

Phoebe Review Team SupervisorHi ccfdowntown,
As mentioned, the captcha is a security measure designed to protect both your account and our platform. It’s temporary and should disappear after some time.
Since you don't want CAPTCHA on your forms and your account has already been verified, I've gone ahead and whitelisted your account so some security measures such as CAPTCHA were reduced.
Let us know if there's anything else we can help you with.

ccfdowntownDear Phoebe,
Appreciate your response and whitelisting our account as well. Though the event has finished yesterday, we will request Jotform to whitelist our account prior our next event.
Thanks,
Denmark
