Conditional Logic: Show/Hide Not Working Correctly for Accordions Based on Checkbox

    Hi JF

Conditional show/hide seems not to be working properly.

    See images below.

Various accordions should only be shown if "Click to Proceed" is checked.

One of those is #69 - "what drives me". You can see it is checked, but it is visible even when "Click to Proceed" is NOT checked.

    Same of other accordions, too.

    Thanks

    Robert

    Hi rtolmach,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant here to assist you.

From your screenshots, it looks like you already have a condition that says IF 9. Click to proceed Is Filled DO Show Multiple (and you listed a group of fields). However, the accordion section 69. What Drives Me and some others are still visible even when the checkbox is not checked.

Let me help you with that:

    1. Check the default visibility of each accordion section
In Form Builder, select each of the accordion fields (e.g., What Drives Me, Personal Qualities, etc.), click on the gear icon (Properties), then under the Advanced tab, make sure Hide Field is turned ON if you want them hidden by default. Conditional logic can only “show” a field that is initially hidden.
    2. Confirm that those fields are actually included in your Show/Hide condition
Go to Settings > Conditions > open your Show/Hide Field condition tied to Click to proceed. In the DO > Show Multiple list, verify that all the accordion fields you want to control (including 69. What Drives Me and the other sections) are listed there. If any are missing, add them to the list so they will only appear when the condition is met.
    3. Make sure there are no other conditions showing those same fields
Still under Conditions, check if any other condition is set to Show those accordion fields (for example, another Show/Hide rule or a Skip/Hide Page rule that affects them). If another condition is also showing them, they may appear even when Click to proceed is not checked. Edit or disable any conflicting conditions.
    4. Use a clear trigger for the checkbox
For a single checkbox like Let’s go!, you can set the condition as:
IF Click to proceed STATE Is Equal To VALUE Let’s go!DO Show Multiple (and list all the accordions). This ensures the fields only show when the checkbox is actually checked, not just when the field is considered “filled”.
    5. Test in Preview mode
Click on Preview Form and confirm that when the form first loads, the accordion sections are hidden, and that they only appear after you check Let’s go!. If they still appear without checking, recheck steps 1–3 for any field you see visible.

If after these checks some specific field is still visible, please share which exact field labels are affected and whether they have any other conditions attached, so we can narrow it down further.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
